No More Paper Car Tax Discs

taxdisc From October 1st 2014, the UK will no longer use paper tax discs. Of course a vehicle will still have to be taxed but it will all be recorded electronically and you won’t need to display an actual disc in your windscreen.

It also means that refunds of duty if you sell the car of take it off the road is done automatically and you can also start to pay by monthly direct debit in most circumstances from 1st November if that makes budgeting easier for you.

It also means that any car you buy must be taxed at the time by you, any existing tax will not be transferred over to you as the new owner. The basics are laid out in this article for you but please do check with DVLA if you are in any way unsure about the status of your vehicle.

Get it Done While-U-Wait

In a world where we seem to be increasingly pushed for time, getting things done quickly and easily is something we all want.

So, if you need a new set of wiper blades, or a bulb replacing, or a new battery fitting, we are now offering a while you wait ‘forecourt service’. Simply arrive, tell us what you need and let one of our trained fitters have it done in a jiffy.*

All makes and models are welcome!

*Dependent on item being in stock and a small fitting charge

Phew, it’s warm – Air Conditioning OK?

Well I am sure we are all very grateful for a spell of warm dry weather, but if you are stuck in your car and the air conditioning is not as cold as it could be, or not working at all, then it’s time to give us a call and book in to have it checked out.

We offer a full Air Con service, which includes a system empty, flush clean and re-gas, plus a check for any leaks, for just £99 which will help to keep your air conditioning system in tip top condition and help you to keep your cool in the summer temperatures.

We are Still Standing

Welcome to our new website first of all and let us confirm for anyone in any doubt that news of our demise is somewhat premature.

There have been big changes here at the service centre, we have moved away from the franchised network and become an independent specialist, a situation we feel will benefit our customers much more than previously.

We will of course still service, maintain and repair your Renault car to the same high standards as always and still using Renault manufactured parts, but we can now offer that same service for your other makes and models too. So if you are a 2 or more make family, all your service and repair needs are under one roof in one convenient location.
